According to Auto News, Toyota Motor Corporation will recall 115,000 Lexus vehicles in the United States to address potential fuel leaks in the engine.
The company said on Tuesday that the recall involved the Lexus IS350, which was produced between 2006 and 2013, the Lexus IS350C, which was produced between 2010 and 2014, and the Lexus GS350 and GS450h, which were produced between 2007 and 2011.
Toyota also said in a statement that the recalled vehicles were equipped with a 3.5-liter V-6 petrol engine. The diaphragm material used in this engine's fuel pulsation damper may harden and crack over time, causing fuel to leak.
Fuel leaks increase the risk of fire in a car.
A Toyota spokesperson did not comment on whether the recall had caused injury or death.
It is reported that the owner will receive an email notification from August, and the Lexus dealer will replace the original fuel delivery pipe with a new fuel delivery pipe containing an improved pulsation damper.
In addition, the owner can find the vehicle identification number involved in the safety recall information on the website of Toyota or the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
