PolyOne said that Finnish LED lighting system manufacturer KruunutekniikkaOy successfully replaced aluminum alloy with its Therma-Tech thermal conductive plastic in its latest patented CoolicsLED thermal conductive parts, and optimized the production process to improve overall production efficiency.

Therma-Tech thermal plastics were developed specifically for use in thermally conductive components for LED luminaires. At present, Therma-Tech thermal plastics are increasingly being used for the thermal conduction components of LED lamps, including lamp holders, cooling heat sink cups and housings.
Polyvinyl Chloride or PVC Resin SG3, SG5, SG7 and SG8 are homopolymers made by suspension polymerization. PVC resin is white powder form thermoplastic resin and has great versatility for making plastic products.
SG3 is for films, hoses, leathers, wire cables and other general purpose soft products.
SG5 is for pipes, fittings, panels, calendaring, injection, moulding, profiles, and sandals.
SG7 / SG8 is for bottles, sheets, calendaring, rigid injection and moulding pipes.
