Ball grinding mill is an efficient tool for grinding various kinds of materials into fine powder. They are generally used to grind material which is 1/4 inch or smaller, down to a particle size of 20 to 75 microns. For the cement ball mills to be efficient, the grinding has to be done in a closed system with the oversize material being continuously recirculated into the cylindrical barrel for reduction. Various classifiers such as screens, spiral classifiers, cyclones and air classifiers are used for classifying the discharge from ball mills.

Working Principle of Ball Grinding Mill
The wet ball mill has rotating cylinder that is mounted horizontally and is controlled (driven) by an outer gearwheel. A quill shaft uniformly transfers the material to the grinding chamber. The chamber consists of different specifications of steel balls such as ladder linear and ripple linear.
Rotation of the horizontal cylinder creates centrifugal forces which elevates the balls to a certain height where they fall back, grinding the materials. The ground material is then discharged.  Ball Mill grinds material by rotating a cylinder with steel grinding balls, causing the balls to fall back into the cylinder and onto the material to be ground. The rotation is usually between 4 to 20 revolutions per minute, depending upon the diameter of the mill. The larger the diameter, the slower the rotation. If the peripheral speed of the mill is too great, it begins to act like a centrifuge and the balls do not fall back, but stay on the perimeter of the mill. The point where the mill becomes a centrifuge is called the "Critical Speed", and ball mills usually operate at 65% to 75% of the critical speed.
In the Ball Mill the motor and speed reducer transmit torque to the large and small gears of the Ball Mill, rotating the barrel. When the barrel rotates, steel balls or other grinding media in the barrel are lifted to a certain height and fall to collide with materials in the barrel. Grinding media mix continuously and grind the materials. The grinding media and materials collide as the Ball Mill rotates. The final product is discharged from outlet after it meets specifications.

It can effectively protect engine bearings from corrosion, and prevent oil viscosity growth due to oxidation in a high temperature. The product is light in color and nice in oil solubility and additive compatibility. It can be widely adopted in various industrial lubricating oils such as gear oil and hydraulic oil.
