First, preparation before starting.

Every time before starting the machine, it is necessary to check whether the cooling water or antifreeze in the diesel tank is satisfied. Pull out the oil level gauge to check whether the lubricating oil is missing. If it is lacking to be added to the specified “quiet full” scale line, check carefully whether the relevant components have any hidden troubles.
 

Second, it is strictly prohibited to start the diesel engine with a load.

Before starting the diesel generator set, pay attention to the generator output air switch must be closed. After the start of the diesel engine of the general type generator, it takes 3-5 minutes of idling operation (about 700 rpm) to start the engine. The winter temperature is low, and the idle operation time must be extended for several minutes. After starting the diesel engine, it is necessary to observe whether the oil pressure is normal and whether there is any abnormal phenomenon such as oil leakage or water leakage. Normally, the oil pressure must be 0.2 MPa or more. If an abnormality is found, it must be immediately shut down for maintenance. If there is no abnormal phenomenon, the diesel engine speed will be increased to the rated speed of 1500 rpm. At this time, the generator will display the frequency of 50HZ and the voltage of 400V, then you can close the output air switch and put it into use. The generator set does not allow long-time no-load operation. (Because long periods of no-load operation will cause the diesel fuel injected by the diesel engine injectors to not completely burn and cause carbon deposition, resulting in leakage of valves and piston rings.) If it is an automatic generator set, idle speed operation is not required because the automation units are generally Equipped with a water heater, so that the diesel engine cylinder is always maintained at about 45 °C, diesel engine can be normal power transmission within 8-15 seconds after startup.
 

Third, pay attention to observe the working status in operation.

In the work of the diesel generator set, special personnel are required to work on it, and often pay attention to observing a series of possible failures. In particular, attention should be paid to changes in important factors such as oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature, voltage and frequency. Also note that enough diesel is provided. If the fuel is interrupted during operation, it will cause a load to stop objectively, which may result in the damage of the generator excitation control system and related components.

Fourth, it is strictly prohibited with load shutdown.

Before each shutdown, it is necessary to gradually cut off the load, then turn off the generator output air switch, and finally decelerate the diesel engine to idle speed for 3-5 minutes and then shut down.
